I use photography to document and explore dioramas and the way one thinks about images in modern day through them. These photographs examine the essence of photographic truth as they explore one’s awareness of looking at an image and challenging the connotations of how we understand it. Within this inauthentic construction of nature comes an idealized state of being. However even in these idealized roles, they are seen as common and even boring, as they begin to be replaced by new technologies. These photographs restore the aura of the original depictions and breathe new life into what was once overlooked. This engages the idea that art is everywhere and is meant to be seen by everyone, ultimately suggesting that art, common materials, and everyday life are inseparable.
